I came from the valley of the sun. I grew up in Chandler, Arizona which is located right outside of Phoenix. I love the heat and the beauty of the desert. I love my home town and also my fun family! I am the oldest of 4 children. As a family we love to spend time outside in the pool and also playing board games.
2. Lover of Music
I absolutely love music. I love to both listen to and play music. I play the piano and hope to learn the guitar in the near future. I like all different kinds of music, but my favorite is acoustic. I also really enjoy musicals, especially Les Miserables. I enjoy going to concerts, especially outdoor concerts this time of the year!
3. West Indian Wannabe
I served a mission in the West Indies from May 2013 - December 2015. For those who don't know where the West Indies is (which was totally me when I opened my call) it is the southern Caribbean. I fell in love with those beautiful islands and went back to visit shortly after finishing my mission. I love the lifestyle, the beauty of the islands, and the people. Can I be a West Indian? Please?
4. Editor of Video
I really enjoy editing video. For a while I wanted to be a wedding videographer, but now am focusing more on filming "love story" videos for couples to show at their wedding reception. It is mostly just a hobby I do on the side. I wish that I had more time to spend editing beceause it truly is one of my favorite things to do! I am a Communication Studies major and work for BYU Broadcasting.
I have family in Chandler! That is crazy! haha I've actually been there and it is dang hot!!! And I am from California which is pretty darn hot! I love music too! Les Mes is bomb! Also thank you for telling me where the West Indies is cause I definitely had no clue... I think I was thinking somewhere near Indonesia... It was a fun read! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of filming "love stories" to be shown at weddings! I would have loved something like that for my wedding. I am not artistic at all so I really respect people who are artistically talented and who choose to develop that talent. I am so glad you explained where the West Indies are. I was way off in my guess. Such a great picture with beautiful people!

I don't play the guitar, but I admire people who do - it's a beautiful instrument and I love acoustic music as well. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh music... one of the most powerful things in this world to express oneself. What sort of music do you enjoy? I'm assuming musicals (I am a huge fan of Les Miserables myself, have you seen the 25th Anniversary Performance? Incredible!) but do you prefer easy listening or something you can belt out the words to? I also love that you share stories through film! I am an aspiring photographer myself but there are definitely things you can capture on film that you can't capture in a photograph.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I grew up in Southern California so I love the heat too. Although I know it gets much hotter in Arizona because my brother served there. I love Les Mis, its my all time favorite. The music is amazing and the story is so interesting. I served a mission in a country that had a civil war while I was there so the story bring back a lot of emotions.
